Karl is a photographer who spends as much time as possible appreciating nature through the lens of his cameras. Being born and bred in Yorkshire, where he currently resides, he concentrates on landscapes and the nature of 'God's own country'.
His philosophy is to enjoy nature and
take only photographs and leave only footprints.
He likes to have movement in his landscapes as he believes that the landscape is dynamic. He is also interested in simplifying the landscape and is currently exploring the minimalist aesthetic.
He works in Raw and tries to get the shot as perfect as possible in camera, however the capture is only the beginning of the creation. Images are developed to achieve the mood that he is trying to convey.
EQUIPMENT
Remember that it is not the equipment that sees the picture but the person behind it, however there is no doubt that having the right equipment helps. The secret is to be carrying that piece of equipment, knowing how to use it and being always ready.
Karl uses a variety of Canon gear and takes all pictures digitally.
